Born in Guangzhou, dawn grew up in Canada and the United States. She graduated from the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) in 2014 with both her undergraduate and master’s degrees, receiving a prestigious Honors Scholarship. In 2018, dawn was selected as one of China’s top ten young artists by the Youth Art Commune. Since then, her work has been exhibited in both the United States and China, most recently participating in the Art021 Art Fair in Shanghai in 2024 with HWAS Gallery in Macau. In 2025, she received the Art Creator Award from the LeaderClub Cultural Association in Shanghai, China. Her work excels at blending Eastern and Western cultural elements, exploring the delicate balance between the virtual and the physical, integrating gestural abstract painting techniques and the splash-color technique of traditional Chinese painting with AI-generated compositions. She currently works and lives in the Greater Bay Area. In 2025, she participated in the Affordable Art Fair HK and held a solo exhibition at Wyndham Social in Central, Hong Kong, as well as group exhibitions at the Mei Lanfang headquarters in Shanghai and Beijing Museum of Contemporary Art (BJMOCA).

簡丹出生於廣州，成長於加拿大和美國， 2014本科和碩士畢業于美國馬裡蘭藝術學院（Master of Art, Maryland Institute College of Art, MICA）連讀五年榮獲MICA榮譽獎學金。 2018年，丹被青春藝術公社評選為中國十強青年藝術家之一。此後，她的作品在美國和中國均有展出，最近2024年與澳門華氏畫廊參加上海Art021藝術博覽會。 2025年，她獲得了中國上海LeaderClub文化協會頒發的藝術創作者獎。她擅長在作品中融合東西方文化元素，探索虛擬與物理之間的微妙平衡主題，將姿態抽象繪畫技巧,國畫的潑彩畫法與人工智能生成的構思融合。她現創作與居住在大灣區。 2025年她加了Affordable Art Fair HK並在香港中環的Wyndham Social舉辦了個人展及在上海梅蘭芳本部和北京宋莊的當代藝術館參加群展。
