dawn jian is a mixed-media artist working across painting and installation. Raised between China, Canada, and the United States, her work reflects the experience of moving between cultures, languages, and visual traditions. Drawing from traditional Chinese ink sensibilities, action painting and gestural abstraction, and AI-generated compositions from her own customized LORA, dawn explores how images shift between digital and physical forms. Through a process that often begins with custom ai systems and continues through layered painting and material experimentation, she examines how identity and visual memory can exist in more than one place at once. Jian received her BFA and BFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art and has exhibited internationally across China and the United states.

dawn’s work has been recognized through awards including the top ten young artists of China and the Lion’s Club Art Creator award, with recent exhibitions and fair presentations including Art021 in Shanghai, Affordable Art Fair in Hong Kong, MOORDN Art Expo in Guangzhou, a solo exhibition in Wyndham Social in Hong Kong, and a group exhibition at the Beijing Museum of Contemporary Art.

簡丹是一位跨領域混合媒材藝術家，創作涵蓋繪畫、數位影像生成及混合技法。她在中國、加拿大與美國之間成長，作品反映了穿梭於不同文化、語言與視覺傳統之間的經驗。借鑒中國水墨的感性、西方抽象與人工智慧生成圖像，簡丹探索影像如何在數位與實體形式之間流變。她的創作過程往往始於客製化的 AI 系統，再透過層疊繪畫與材質實驗持續推進，藉此探討身份與視覺記憶如何能同時存在於多個空間。JIAN 先後於馬里蘭藝術學院獲得學士與碩士學位，並曾在中國與美國等地舉辦國際性展覽。

簡丹的作品屢獲殊榮，包括「中國十大青年藝術家」及「藝術創作者獎」。近期展覽及博覽會遍及中國、香港與美國，包括上海 ART021、香港 Affordable Art Fair、廣州魔燈藝術博覽會、香港 Wyndham Social 以及北京當代藝術館等。
